6/11/2026: Congratulations to former visiting student Manu Coessens on successfully defending his Bachelor's thesis at HOGENT University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Ghent, Belgium! His thesis was based on research conducted in our laboratory, where he investigated chlorophyll-based optical microcavities and their spectroscopic characterization.
6/1/2026: We are excited to welcome Angie Lam, an REU student from California Polytechnic University, Pomona, to the lab this summer! Angie will be working with us for the next 10 weeks.
5/20/2026: Congratulations to Seongje on being selected as a fellow at the Institute of Global Sustainability! This fellowship will support his research on carotenoids this summer.
5/19/2026: We congratulate our three phenomenal undergraduates on their many awards! New lab member Beckett received the Mason Award for Excellence in General Chemistry. Bradley was awarded a Mason Summer Fellowship, which will support his continued research in the lab this summer. Finally, Jacob received THREE (!!!) awards - a Mason Award for Excellence in Chemistry, a Poster Award from the NSCRC conference he attended earlier, and a Buck Scholarship that is “among the most prestigious and substantial given by the College of Arts & Sciences and BU”.
3/28/2026: Huge congratulations to our own Jacob on being selected for the DOE Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI) program! He will be working at Argonne National Laboratory this summer. Congrats and we can’t wait to see all the cool things Jacob will achieve at Argonne!
